I’ve just wrapped up a solid calisthenics session here in West Park, Sofia, Bulgaria. It’s a beautiful, sunny day, and I’m currently unwinding in the Pavlovo neighborhood, a place that holds a special spot in my memory because I lived here for eight months. Sofia itself is a city that’s constantly evolving, picking up speed, and moving forward. I first set foot here 17 years ago, and seeing its progress is genuinely impressive.
The Problem: Navigating Life’s ‘Dead Leaves’ and Empty Connections
In this fast-paced world, it’s easy to get caught up in things that don’t serve your growth. I’ve noticed a pattern, both online and in real life, where people tend to live with ‘dead leaves’ clinging to their tree, so to speak. This could be anything from empty conversations to relationships that lack genuine depth.
- Superficial Interactions: Sometimes, people just say things without meaning them, or they ask ‘How are you?’ while already walking away. These empty exchanges don’t contribute to real connection or personal development.
- Fear of Freedom: I’ve observed that many people, especially women, aren’t used to true freedom. It can be a challenge for them to handle it because they’ve never truly experienced it. This often leads to seeking comfort in controlling or less liberating situations.
- Rotten Apples: Just like a tree that holds onto dead leaves in autumn will die in winter, surrounding yourself with negative influences or ‘rotten apples’ can hinder your own growth. If you don’t cut off these dead leaves, you risk freezing in your personal development.
The Solution: Live Transparently, Focus on Purpose, and Prune Your Life
My journey, especially my YouTube journey, is all about living transparently and purposefully. I don’t believe in filters or faking it. Here’s what I’ve learned and how I apply it to my life:
1. Embrace Raw Reality and Transparency
My first livestream today was with a Samsung S23, and I did it with no pre-production or post-production. It’s just me, raw and unedited, doing what I do every single day. I believe in being transparent, real, and honest, both in my videos and in my real life. What you see is what you get. I’m not cutting out words to sound like an angel who fell from the sky; I’m simply being myself.
2. Find Your Purpose and Compound Your Efforts
Everything has its purpose. I live by a ‘compounding actions’ philosophy. Whether it’s adding locations to Google Maps (which has generated thousands of views for local businesses) or consistently training 365 days a year, I’m always looking to build and contribute. My days start early, often at 4:45 AM, focusing on ‘developing time’ – editing, managing content, and creating valuable scenarios for free. This consistent effort, done with pleasure and obsession, fuels my progress.
3. Prioritize Your Well-being and Cut Off ‘Dead Leaves’
I value my freedom and my peace. If something doesn’t feel good, I move on. I have a zero-policy on ‘snaring comments’ and negative influences. Just as a tree prunes its dead leaves to survive and thrive, I actively choose to remove anything or anyone that pulls me down. This includes people who are ’empty’ or bring unnecessary drama. Focus on categories of people and activities that make your life more interesting and help you feel better.
4. Connect with Intent
I don’t just randomly pop up somewhere; there’s always a reason. I aim for meaningful interactions. It’s interesting how I can remember exactly what I said to someone the last time we met, but sometimes struggle to recall their face unless I focus. This highlights the importance of truly being present and engaging with intent, rather than just going through the motions.
Summary: Live Authentically, Seek Growth, and Prune Your Path
My journey through Sofia, my calisthenics, and my online presence are all extensions of this philosophy. Live transparently, pursue your passions with obsession, and be ruthless in pruning out the ‘dead leaves’ that hinder your growth. You deserve a life that’s vibrant, meaningful, and genuinely you. It’s a no-go for anything less. Move on, move away, and always strive to feel better.
